Ops project cultural centre lierbyen

Lier municipality (the Awarding Authority) is in process of planning a cultural centre in proximity to the dairy building situated in Lierbyen. The dairy building is a noticeable, central and a good meeting place for all age groups and widespread cultural interests in Lier.
The Cultural Centre shall appear as the municipality? s parlour and shall contribute to increasing the municipality? s and Lierbyen? s positive identity and development. The building shall gather many of the municipality? s cultural services and provide new possibilities for promotion and arrangements, as a supplement to the activities in the school districts.
The success of the Cultural centre will be based on that the centre becomes an active meeting place and activity house in use from morning to evening, 7 days a week. The centre shall be perceived as friendly and everybody shall find it natural to visit the centre.
The centre shall, through the architectural expression and visibility in Lierbyen as well as offered activities and meeting place function, contribute to develop new vitality in Lierbyen and strengthen the cultural service and the sense of identity for entire Lier municipality.
