Increase of Multi-Sorter Capacity

For Robsrud sorting centre, Posten Norge require a solution which through upgrading of existing machine park and/or new installation makes it possible to sort parcels, without re-processing, to minimum 900 different sorting points at the first sorting process. This should be achieved within an designated area of 4800 m2 (60 m x 80 m). The technical capacity of the solution must be minimum 22 000 parcels/hour. Currently there are 3 individual parcel sorting machines (Multi Sorter Machines – msm - delivered by Beumer Group in 2010 with LS3000 sorter) occupying the designated total area. Each individual msm has a capacity up to 198 sorting points. It is considered crucial for Posten that the Supplier, in the cases where upgrading of the existing msm machine park is chosen, can guarantee technical performance guarantees for the whole msm plant including any upgraded parts.
