Removing/resizing the concrete block

Concrete block is one side of car place and two columns which holds the roof over the car place are fixed to the block. Place is too tight for parking so i would like to replace this concrete block with lower one or to remove it completely and maybe place two new columns beside the existing one, on surface left from the block. If you hage any other suggestions how to fix this problem let me know.
