We are in the process of renovating a charming 1950s house in Tranby and are seeking a knowledgeable contractor to complete the project at a potentially more affordable price. We have already received various quotes from different sources, but we want to explore all options before making a final decision. Key Project Details: 1. Roof: • New roof needed, covering 126 sqm, including snow catchers. • The roof has been leaking for over a year, so we anticipate some moisture damage. • Potential moisture damage in the roof beams; a few may need replacement. Initial inspection from the attic looks manageable. 2. Cladding: • Adding insulation to achieve a total of 20/25 cm insulation thickness. • Repairs required if there are moisture-related issues in the floor joists. • New cladding with vertical paneling. 3. Kitchen: • Plumbing installation and kitchen setup required. 4. Surfaces: • Plastering needed for the living room, kitchen, and three bedrooms. • Tile flooring with underfloor heating required for the hallway. • Windows will be provided by me for installation. 5. Plumbing and Sanitary: • New bathroom installation on the top floor. • Installation of a water cabinet in the utility room located in the hallway. • Installation of a shower cabin in the utility room located in the hallway. 6. Electrical System: • Electrical system upgrade required; currently has a combination of fuse and circuit breakers. • Installation of balanced ventilation system as per the project design.
