Request for information (RFI) - Solution for perimeter surveillance - Invitation to information meeting 12. April 2019
Background
Avinor must periodically perform inspections on the outer boundary/perimeter of the airports. This is a time-consuming effort, especially when the access is limited in some areas, and during heavy snowfalls or bad weather.
Avinor wants to evaluate the potential of autonomous technology that can identify abnormalities in the perimeter. The perimeter consists of fences around the airport, including gates and sometimes parts of building structures.
Abnormalities will typically be open gates, breaches in the fence like holes within or beneath the fence. It can furthermore be structures or objects close to the fence with the purpose to climb the fence, e. g. Vehicles, hay balls, ladders, high snow levels, etc.
The systems must be able to transmit alarms and connect with Avinor’s standard security systems.
Possible technology can be, but is not limited to, drones and computer vision tools.
Information meeting
Avinor will on the 12th of April 2019 (12. 04. 2019) host an information meeting for potential tenderers/suppliers/developers who can contribute to providing cost effective solutions, whether you have such a solution developed or are planning to develop such a solution.
We would ask potential suppliers to send us questions ahead of the meeting, to ensure that Avinor can provide the information you may find relevant in the meeting. We can not guarantee that all questions will be addressed in the meeting, but we will try our best given the time restraints. The meeting will take place in facilities adjacent to and in walking distance from Oslo airport, Gardermoen (details tba). The meeting will be a common session (with all suppliers present). Avinor will present our needs and answer the received questions in the common session. After a short lunch break, we invite you to book a short private session (15 min.), where you can elaborate on your solution(s) with only Avinor present.
Avinor would also ask that you prepare a short description of the solution you represent or might consider developing. This information can be shared with Avinor before the meeting or in the private sessions (such information which naturally will be kept confidential).
Please see the attached document for the full information.
