Request for information (RFI) - Walk-trough metal detectors (WTMD) and x-ray machines

Avinor as wishes to evaluate relevant technologies for easy operated and cost-efficient security control of passengers, employees and luggage in compliance with the eu regulation.
Avinor wants information about the following equipment:
• Walk-through Metal Detection (wtmd)
• x-ray machines with tunnel size 60*40cm and 75x55cm, single and dual view.
• 28 airports are using the same x-ray machine for both hand luggage and checked baggage. x-ray machines with tunnel sizes larger than 80x60cm but less than 100x100cm are of interest for this purpose. Single and dual view.
Time frame
Avinor intends to evaluate and select actual technological solution within the middle of 2019, and thereafter request for tender for new screening equipment. It is Avinor’s intention to enter into a frame agreement for delivery of some of the screening equipment before the end of 2019.
Inquiry
Avinor wishes in accordance with the information given above to gather information about relevant technological solutions available in the market, and requests for information from actual suppliers of screening equipment about which solutions are available and can be offered for installation within the given time frame. For relevant systems the supplier must have a perspective for the equipment to be supported for the next 15 years after installation.
Examples of relevant information to be included in response:
- Is it possible to log on to the system remotely for instance for technical support?
- Can the product be supplied with Dash-board solutions for Supervisory Control?
If yes, please submit information about the solution.
- Possibilities for establishing remote screening (centralized screening operator room), for one airport or multiple airports.
- Information about server solutions.
- Is the equipment certified as C1 – C2 or are there plans for such certification?
- dicos, how does the manufacturer relate to this. Are there any specific plans for implementation?
- When upcoming equipment are available.
- Time from order to delivery.
- Information about tip-solutions.
- Data sheets.
- Information about local service availability. Description of service organisation and available languages (Norwegian, English or other).
- Delivery time, can some of the equipment be ready for delivery when contract is signed?
